Plans and Billing

This guide explains how plans, plan changes, and billing work in Deployalo.

Available Plans

Each application has 3 available plans:

PlanResourcesIdeal for
Basic2 vCPU, 4 GB RAMSmall projects, testing
Advanced4 vCPU, 8 GB RAMProduction projects
Pro8 vCPU, 16 GB RAMHigh traffic, many users

Prices vary by application. You can see the exact price when deploying.

Change Plan

Upgrade Plan

When you upgrade (for example, from Basic to Advanced):

  1. You are charged immediately the prorated difference for the remaining time in your billing cycle
  2. Your server is resized automatically (may take a few minutes)
  3. The new price applies from the next cycle

Example:

  • You have Basic plan ($10/month)
  • 15 days remaining in the month
  • You upgrade to Advanced ($20/month)
  • You are charged: $10 x (15/30) = $5 immediately
  • Next month: $20/month

Downgrade Plan

When you downgrade:

  1. Nothing is charged - you already paid for the full month
  2. Your server stays the same until the end of the month
  3. The change applies at the start of the next billing cycle

This means if you downgrade from Pro to Basic on day 10, you keep your Pro server until day 1 of the next month.

Cancel a Pending Downgrade

If you scheduled a downgrade but changed your mind:

  1. Go to your deployment
  2. You'll see a yellow banner that says "Downgrade scheduled for [date]"
  3. Click on "Cancel Downgrade"
  4. Your plan remains unchanged

Important: If you cancel a downgrade and then upgrade again to the same plan you had, you are not charged proration because you never had the lower plan service.

What Happens If My Payment Fails

If your payment fails when trying to upgrade:

  1. The plan change is not applied
  2. You receive a notification explaining the problem
  3. Your current plan remains unchanged
  4. You can try again after updating your payment method

Suspension for Non-Payment

If your subscription has payment problems:

DayWhat happens
Day 1Your deployment is suspended (still exists, but not accessible)
Day 3You receive a final notice by email
Day 5Your deployment and server are permanently deleted

To avoid deletion, update your payment method before day 5.

View Your Billing History

In your deployment you can see:

  • The current plan
  • If there's a pending downgrade
  • Plan change history
  • Next billing date

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I upgrade and downgrade multiple times?

Yes, but keep in mind:

  • Each upgrade charges proration immediately
  • You can only have one scheduled downgrade at a time
  • If you have a pending downgrade and upgrade, the downgrade is automatically cancelled

What happens to my data when changing plans?

Your data is never lost when changing plans. The server simply changes resources (CPU, RAM).

Can I schedule an upgrade for later?

No, upgrades are immediate because they require more resources. Downgrades are scheduled for end of month because reducing a server's resources requires restarting it.

Is a backup made before a downgrade?

We recommend making a manual backup before a scheduled downgrade. The system does not make automatic backups for downgrades.
